Adult supervision is required when adding livestock to your habitat. This is required as the ants can buy in staying in cause extreme pain. To easily remove the ants place them in a cool location like a refrigerator for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. This will enable them to going to hibernation mode similar to bears and allow removal from the container.  Remove any food that fell in your antfarm is afterwards with tweezers. Do NOT put them in the freezer or you will kill your live ants. We ship M- F Ants M- Thurs typically.  

   LIVE ANT SHIPMENTS WILL NOT BE RESENT IF DOA If  Cold pack/heat pack and @ least priority mail was not picked.  If you live an a far, cold (during winter) or Hot(like CA FL LA During Summer) location your best bet is 1 day air.

For reshipment we will only pay for the ants themselves. 

The customer will pay for any heat packs / cold pack and shipping type they prefer. If there are problems with your shipment you must EMAIL us within 24 hours of your shipment describing the issue.

With shipping live ants or any other live animal there is always a risk of death.  To minimize loss during transit we highly suggest shipping with at least a Cold pack AND priority shipping during the summer months. 

What we need you to do.  Check out your weather and the zones the live bugs will be crossing.  Our insects come from CA and MO.  Thats a long distance.  Typically MO  Both places do get hot though.  Either way it is up to you do you think they need a cold pack and priority shipping for summer month transits and Heat pack and Priority in the winter. 

Take into consideration GROUND SHIPPING = up to 12 days and is Never an ideal choice.
Priority 1-3 days and they deliver on Sat.  On to the cold packs for our bugs.  This really does help insure live survival in temps above 72.  This is why it is HIGHLY SUGGESTED as well.

Please remember shipping service chosen is an estimated time in transit NOT how fast we ship the item. See bottom Note as some customers just don't understand this.

• Returns are @ the option of our facility and are subject to the 20%-45% depending on manufacturer restocking fee. Customer must pay for insurance and delivery confirmation back to us. Some items cannot be returned as these are directly shipped from one of our partners.
• $45 fee on all returned checks which may be sent to a collection agency.
• Every account insured against unauthorized transactions up to $100,000 if using paypal through paypal services. We do not charge your credit card but paypal a 3rd party owned by ebay does all of the credit card verification process.  They are our payment gateway who processes all credit card transactions.  They then in turn fwd the $ to our account. By agreeing to the terms you agree that you understand this.
• Overseas-non us and non cont us s/h is an estimate,  We will contact you if it is different and will not charge you until authorized.
• All orders are a request of product, goods, or services and Payment may be refunded or denied @ our discretion• Orders cannot be canceled once they have been shipped. Refused orders are subject to an automatic 30%  restocking fee plus return shipping charges. 
No refund can be given on special ordered products.

Product Returns and Price Matching
• Should you find it necessary to return a product to us, please contact us within 5 days of your original invoice date for a Return Authorization Number (RMA) prior to shipping the item back. Shipping and insurance fees are not refundable. Returned products must include all original boxes with original seal and paperwork to receive a refund or replacement. All returns must be properly packaged and insured to avoid damage. Please mark the RMA number clearly on the shipping label and shipping box. Please do not mark on the product box. Refunds cannot be issued for improperly packaged returned items. All RMA's are valid for 10 days. Any items returned without a RMA number will be refused. We are unable to accept for return any product received after the expiration of the RMA. RMA's cannot be extended or re-issued. We reserve the right to refuse any item.  The Mandatory Restocking fees will apply for all returns to cover box costs, packing materials, and man hours it takes to pack, inventory, and inspect these items. Any Drop shipped or special order items are not allowed to be returned/  

  • To price match the items the request must be made prior to paying for your order. Please call or email us and we will let you know how you can do this on-line as if you make a payment on-line many times we cannot refund the difference. We do not back date price matched items from orders.  Price matching is @ a benefit not a right and is determined by the store.  We will only price match in stock items by authorized dealers.

  • • Damaged Merchandise
    • If your merchandise arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of arrival. All damage claims must be filed with the carrier.. Please do not discard the damaged item or the packing material. The carrier may choose to pick up the damaged item for inspection. In this event, the carrier will contact you within 7 to 10 business days after the claim has been filed.  Ant Shipments do not qualify for replacements  unless more than 1/2 of the ants are dead AND you Chose priority mail.


  • Customer is responsible for s/h charges AND HEAT PACK- COLD PACK on any reshipments including doa ants


  • Orders may be delayed if weather it to cold to ship.  Ant ship m& t generally unless express

  • We do require the return of the vial back for Doa shipments.If 50% or more ants are doa and priority mail or greater was checked with a heat pack we will provide the ants for free but the Customer responsible for payment of heat pack and shipping for repeat shipping

  •  Under no circumstances will s/h  or cost of heat pack / cold pack be refunded on DOA livestock if the customer request a refund on the ants if they have shipped and arrived doa.

  • There usually are a few dead ants upon arrival and we include extras with every order.. 

    • Shipping time We get most orders out within 24 hours for Antworks and the illuminator. During high demand times such as Christmas this time may be considerably delayed due to the rush of orders.  Shipping  antworks or illuminators 2 day does not automatically mean you will get the items in 2 days. There is some processing time as well as other customers orders that are taken care of in the order they are received.. Please note also many times our daily pickup is scheduled @ 1 so if it has already happened your order would be shipped the following work day. •  

    Please Note shipping times are not how fast we ship the item but how fast the transit times generally are AFTER leaving our facility. Revised 6-6-2013.  This means ordering Express or priority does not bump your order above someone else but  gives you a faster SERVICE by the carrier.Shipping time Varies on how many orders we have pending in our system and how many ants we have on hand when you place the order. 

    Collecting ants is based off of weather conditions and sometimes in extremes if the ground is frozen or the weather is to cold it may take a few weeks to collectDuring times of high volume even 1-2 day shipments may take 2 weeksor more days to ship. (Updated 6-19-15)
